Strangulation is Attempted Murder

Behavioral Changes

A San Diego Study of 300 strangulation cases found the following:
– 50% of cases had NO VISIBLE INJURY
– 35% had injuries too minor to photograph
– 15% had injuries sufficient to photograph

Behavioral Changes caused by Hypoxia include restlessness and violence due to victim seeking oxygen. Sadly many women are wrongfully arrested because they are beligerant and combatative during the investigation while the partner is calm and relaxed.

This is due to temporary brain anoxia and/or severe stress reaction, and subsequent resolve. Changes can also be longterm, resulting in frank psychosis and amnesia.
